My name is Paty Mogio and I am a qualified Computer Science teacher at a secondary school in Reading, UK.
I created this website in 2022 to offer 1-to-1 tuition to Computer Science students and earn a bit of extra money. Little did I know how limited my time would be with a full-time teaching job, and it quickly became mission impossible.
However, I developed a brand-new curriculum for KS3, and with the support of my colleagues, I also adapted and improved the existing KS4 and KS5 curriculum at my school. As a result of all these changes, I have created a range of new resources, which I continue to refine every year. Thanks to this website, I can now share those resources freely with the wider computing community and also write some articles related to Computer Science from time to time.
I believe Computer Science is key to understanding the technology that shapes our world in the 21st century. Teaching this subject gives students the opportunity to unlock endless possibilities in today’s digital society. Therefore, I aim to help students improve their algorithmic thinking so they can succeed in their exams and beyond.
I also have broad experience across different areas of Computer Science, including networks, cybersecurity, programming, software and hardware testing, artificial intelligence, and more.
In 2024, I won the National Teaching Award for ‘The Digital Innovator of the Year 2024’ by Pearson.

I have worked in a Secondary school as a Computer Science teacher for more than four years and I still do. I am a GCSE examiner and, I am a Digital Schoolhouse teacher lead which involves going to other primary schools in the community to enthuse students with Computer Science.

Additionally, I am also a certified Microsoft Office Specialist Expert 365 and I have multiple certifications in programming, Cybersecurity and different types of software.

In 2025 I became a microbit Champion, helping student to code through different projects using their microbits. I have done projects to teach them the basics of programming fundamentals and link them with everyday technology like AI.

My curiosity did not stop there, as I am avid to learn more in my field I became a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert in 2025. This encouraged me to explore different way to teach using Microsoft learning tools in the classroom, which has been very useful in my career so far.

Although I am based in Reading, Berkshire, and the majority of my students are from the Reading area, all of my tuition is online and so I can cater for students in any location.
One of my biggest collaborations was an online presentation with the British Council, which was available to 28 countries in Nothern Africa and The Middle East. 🌟
